Christmas 2007

These last two weeks have gone by so fast but we have had lots of fun. First of all this year was the last year that Todd was able to have a Christmas break, since he is still in school. His rotations ended in the middle of the month and he doesn't start again for another week. It has been really great to have him home more and being able to spend more time with him. This year has been really fun as Belle is seeing the magic of this wonderful season. She has been looking forward to Santa coming since before Thanksgiving when we saw his arrive at the mall. This year she loved him and wanted to see him every where we went. She was able to sit on his lap many times at different parties. Every time we saw him she asked for a kitchen, and Monsters INC.! This year we were excited to be back in Utah to be able to attend all of the many different family parties. I love this time of year when we get together with loved ones and share the holiday spirit.
We did our usual Christmas Eve at my parents along with my two sisters and their families. We had dinner, exchanged gifts, tracked Santa on the internet, got new pj's that Grandma made and took lots of pictures with cousins. We then all piled into the cars and went to the cemetery to visit uncle Brody and to see Christmas lights. We then headed down to Todd's parents in Ephraim. Belle was so excited for Santa to come that she fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep. Todd is always very excited for Christmas morning and so he woke the rest of the family up at 6:00AM. Belle was very bright eyed when Todd said that he thought Santa had come and was wide awake. It was so fun to see her face when she saw that Santa had brought her a brand new kitchen, just for her! She also got her new favorite movie, Monsters Inc.

Todd and I also had a great Christmas as Todd got a new shot gun and I got a memory foam pillow top for our bed.

We did a lot of traveling these last few weeks going back and forth from grandparents houses. We love the holidays but they always come and go so fast. For New Years we went and spent the night at a hotel with all of my extended family. Thanks to my great grandparents.

We stayed up late eating, playing games, swimming and laughing our hearts out. Isabelle wasn't quite so sure about all of the yelling and noise making when the new year came and she wasn't too happy the next day from staying up late. This last year has been great and we have many things to be thankful for and are looking forward to the next year!

It sounds like you had a lot of fun! I love Isabelle's kitchen, I bet she has a blast with it! How sad that the holidays are over, now our husbands have to get back to work! :(

I'm glad you guys had a great Christmas. Avery got a kitchen too! It was the highlight of the day for her. She and Isabelle need to play together. They'd have fun!
